 For one or two labels per container, the extra-wide STS818, for labels up to 210mm wide on a roll, is a new semi-automatic label applicator that makes it fast and easy to apply pressure-sensitive labels to bottles, cans, jars, vials, tubes, tins, and many other cylindrical containers. Up to 1200 containers per hour is possible. Labels are applied under tension and in a straight line, without wrinkles or folds. This gives finished products a highly professional look and significantly increases the number of containers that can be labelled per hour versus manually applying labels.
The new Ultrasonic label gap sensor is able to more reliably detect the label gap, handling those clear and extra thin labels not previously possible.
Operation is simple: set the guides, place the container in the mechanism, press the foot switch or panel start button, and the label is applied. A wide range of products can be labelled, including wine, water, beer, spirits and other beverages, sauces, nutraceuticals, vitamins, cosmetics, bath and spa products, spices, speciality foods, health and beauty care, oils, lotions, fragrances, chemicals, paint and much more. There is a free App to help calculate the settings and spacing of the label(s) depending on label size and bottle diameter.
The video shows the 150mm-wide STS808 in action. But the principles are the same for the wider STS818 model, good for labels up to 210mm wide, fitting longer and taller containers.
