branded thermal ink ribbons with your Toshiba printer will not only ensure excellent print quality but will also prolong the operating life of the printer's thermal print head.
The thermal print head is the "business end" of your printer and is a precision manufactured device which uses rapidly applied bursts of heat to melt ink off the thermal ribbon and on to your labels (hence the term "thermal transfer printer"). During the life of the printer the thermal print head becomes worn and will eventually need replacing.
TOSHIBA
thermal ink ribbons possess a protective coating which helps to lubricate and shield the print head during operation meaning that the print head should attain it's peak efficiency and operating life. The use of inferior "copy ribbons" is not advised as they do not possess this protective coating and have been proven to reduce the life of thermal print heads considerably.
